Billing for client accounts: who pays and how

The two ways a client workspace gets paid for, what the client sees in each, and where the invoices go.

Written by Stef

Every client workspace starts on a 14-day free trial. When it ends, or sooner if you like, you activate the subscription from your Partner Portal and pick who pays: the client directly, or you.

Both routes run on the same public pricing, and you earn your kickback either way.

👉 Customer is paying: the client's billing admin gets a payment link and pays Snitcher directly.
👉 You are paying: you pick the plan and pay Snitcher, and the client never sees a bill.

Activate a subscription

  1. Open Client Management. Head to Settings → Partnerships → Client Management.

  2. Click Activate subscription next to the client that's on trial.

  3. Choose who pays. The "Who's paying for this plan?" step decides who receives the billing link.

Route 1: the customer is paying

The client signs up with Snitcher directly and pays with their own card or bank account. You stay the partner on the workspace and earn your kickback on whatever they pay.

  1. Select Customer is paying and click Continue.

  2. Select the billing admin. Choose which of the client's admins should receive the payment invitation email.

  3. The client completes payment from the link in that email, on the plan that fits their volume.

💡 Seeing "No billing admins found"? The client workspace has no admin yet. Switch to it using the workspace selector at the top, head to Settings → Team → Users, give one of their users the admin role, then come back and try again.

What the client sees: their plan, invoices and card under their own workspace settings, exactly like any other Snitcher customer.

Route 2: you are paying

You subscribe to the client workspace yourself and invoice the client however you like, at your own price and on your own terms. Snitcher bills you, and the client sees no billing section at all.

  1. Select I am paying and click Continue.

  2. Select the plan for the client's volume, monthly or annual. Annual plans are 30% cheaper.

  3. Pay in the checkout. A Stripe checkout opens in your agency's name, with card, iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit, Apple Pay or Link. The subscription starts as soon as payment goes through.

Where your invoices are: in your Partner Portal under Settings → Partnerships → Invoices, one per client workspace you pay for. Your own workspace's invoices stay under your workspace billing settings as before.

What the client sees: no plan, no invoices, no card. Their workspace works exactly the same.

What you pay: the public price for the plan you chose. Your kickback is calculated on what Snitcher receives from you. ⚠ VERIFY: confirm with Jerre that agency-paid workspaces count towards Monthly Revenue and kickback in the Partner Benefits tab.

Changing plans, cancelling and refunds

Plans change from the same place they were bought: the client's billing settings on route 1, your Partner Portal on route 2. Cancelling a client workspace stops the kickback on it from that point, and if a client's payment is refunded or charged back we deduct it from your next payout.
