Google Tag Manager (GTM) is the easiest way to install the Snitcher tracker without touching your website's code directly.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Google Tag Manager account with an existing container set up on your website

  • The GTM snippet already installed on your site (GTM installation guide)

  • Admin or Editor access to your GTM workspace

  • Access to your Snitcher dashboard

1️⃣ Sign in to your Snitcher dashboard. Go to Settings → Snitcher from the sidebar, then navigate to Tracker → Installation Instructions

2️⃣ Copy the Snitcher tracking code to your clipboard:

3️⃣ Sign in to your workspace on Google Tag Manager and click ‘New Tag’.

4️⃣ Click on ‘Tag Configuration’ and choose ‘Custom HTML’ from the list.

5️⃣ Paste the Snitcher tracking code you copied in step 2 into the HTML field.

6️⃣ Under ‘Advanced Settings’, select "Unlimited" from the ‘Tag firing’ dropdown.

7️⃣ Click Choose a trigger to make this tag fire... and select All Pages. Give the tag a name and then click the Save button.

8️⃣ Save the Tag and publish it on your website

🚨 TIP: Don't forget to publish your tag!

✅ To make sure everything is ready, verify that your code was installed.
