If you'd like to learn more about the use cases of the Google Analytics enricher, please check out our guide.
This article will provide an overview of what happens when you connect GA, how to get it set up and what to be aware of after it's connected to ensure the data keeps flowing.
💡 The Google Analytics Enricher works with both UA and GA4.
1️⃣ What it will do
When you connect your Google Analytics account to Snitcher. We will automatically create 4 custom dimensions for you.
The tool will then enrich events (GA4) and sessions (UA) with identified company details matching the custom dimensions created.
2️⃣ How to set it up
Head over to Settings => Integrations => Google Analytics.
Sign in with Google Analytics and follow the 3 click connection.
🚨 Please be sure to Authenticate GA profile that's installed on the same website (how to check GA ID)
3️⃣ What to be aware of
👉 Please don't make changes to the custom dimensions as this will prevent us syncing the data correctly.
👉 A Spotter token is required for the integration and is auto created when you connect GA. So please don't delete your token as it will break the connection.
👉 It can take up to 10 mins to start seeing data in GA.
4️⃣ How to view the enriched information in Google Analytics
In GA4 select Reports => Report snapshot => Real-time
In UA navigate to Reports => Real-time => Events => then select Events (Last 30 min)
To learn how to apply the enriched company information, please check out the Google Analytics use case guide.
