How to integrate Snitcher and Close

Connect Snitcher to Close to sync identified companies as Leads, send revealed contacts, and see your Close pipeline next to visitor activity.

Written by Leon

Getting Snitcher and Close connected is an important step.

You can use automation to send new leads matching your ideal customer profile (and behavior) to the CRM.

Plus you can also filter on if an identified company already exists in Close.

This article will run through how to connect Snitcher with Close (spoiler 🚨 it's a few clicks) and provide a quick overview of the functionality you will have at your fingertips.

πŸ§ͺ The Close integration is currently in beta. Want in? Drop us a message and we'll enable it for your workspace. (Remove this callout at GA.)

How to connect Close

To get started, navigate to the settings pages -> integrations -> Close and follow the prompts. Or hit the button below.

With just a few clicks you can connect the platforms and get back to implementing.

πŸ’‘ You will need to be a Close admin (or have organization management permissions) to authenticate the integration β€” Snitcher creates a few custom fields in Close during setup.

What will this do?

The integration is a 2-way sync. This means you can:

  • Send companies to Close β€” they become Leads (in Close, a Lead is the company; contacts and opportunities live under it).

  • Send contacts to Close β€” attached to the right Lead automatically.

  • See in Snitcher which companies are already in Close. πŸŽ‰

  • See your Close Opportunities (stage, value, owner) on the company profile in Snitcher.

When a company is identified and already exists in the CRM, the sync happens and a Close tile will be added to the company profile in Snitcher.

Snitcher also keeps a set of enrichment fields fresh on every synced Lead in Close: total sessions, total page views, total time on site, segments, tags, and first & last visit date. Great for building Close Smart Views like "engaged this week". ⚑

How is this done?

Every time Snitcher makes an identification the system checks if the company exists within Close (matched by website domain, so no duplicates) and syncs the data. Changes made in Close flow back to Snitcher in real-time too.

Manually send companies to Close

Click on any company profile in Snitcher that doesn't have a Synced icon next to the name (is not yet in Close).

On the company profile you will see the option to "Send to Close".

Manually send Contacts to Close

You can send individual contacts directly to Close.

  1. Navigate to the People tab in Snitcher.

  2. Select a contact you want > click "Send to"

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip! Make sure to reveal the email address first before sending the contact to your CRM.

3. Choose "Send to Close" to push the contact into your CRM.

The contact is created on the matching Lead in Close with their name, title, email, and phone β€” or updated if they already exist there.

How to send leads to Close with automation

To configure an automation that sends leads to Close, you will first need to create a Segment in Snitcher.

πŸ’‘ We suggest following the guide to automatically filter for relevant leads to make sure you only send engaged good fit leads and avoid cluttering up your CRM.

Once you have a Segment configured, head over to the Automations page.

πŸ‘‰ Select event = 'New lead'

πŸ‘‰ Segment = your selection e.g. 'All ICP'

πŸ‘‰ Action = 'Send leads to Close'

🚨 It's important to be strict with the Segment (filters) you use to send leads to Close when using automation. Start with a conservative approach and rather send through too few leads until you are sure the filtering is set up correctly.

See your Close pipeline in Snitcher

Snitcher automatically imports the Opportunities attached to your synced Leads β€” stage, value, owner, and close date β€” and shows them on the company profile. So when a company with an open deal comes back to your pricing page, you'll know. πŸ‘€

Two segments are created for you automatically: Open Deals and Lost Deals β€” perfect for retargeting and win-back plays.

How to filter on Close data in Snitcher

Head over to Filters and open the dropdown menu. If Close is connected, you'll see additional Close data available to filter on β€” like whether a company is already synced to Close and its Lead status.

Here's an example Segment you can use to see all the identified companies that exist in Close.
